Studio Apartment

Studio apartments are compact living spaces designed to provide a comfortable and functional dwelling for individuals or couples. These self-contained units typically comprise a single open-concept room that combines the living, dining and sleeping areas.

Alcove Studio Apartment

An alcove studio apartment has a similar feel to a studio, with the kitchen, living, and dining area all in one large space. But an alcove apartment creates a separate area for the bed. While it’s not a true one-bedroom, an alcove studio features a nook or L-shaped area where the bed can be positioned. This layout can also allow for a curtain or other partition to give the sleeping area more privacy.

Micro apartments

Micro Apartments are one-room apartments, roughly less than 350 square feet. They will include a space for sitting, sleeping, a bathroom and a kitchenette. This type of apartment is mostly found in highly populated areas where there are high rent prices for a small amount of space.

Duplex or Triplex Apartments

A duplex is a unit that has two stories in one apartment building. These homes can comprise two different living spaces and two entrances. A staircase within the unit connects the bottom floor to the top. A three-storied apartment is known as a triplex. These have three living rooms – one on each floor – and a staircase/elevator that connects each of these floors. These homes have more than two bedrooms, if not more, on each floor. These apartments are not yet seen in Pakistan however can be introduced in high rise projects.

Loft Apartment

Open and airy, loft apartments come in a variety of shapes and sizes, featuring different numbers of bedrooms and ranges of square footage. Loft apartments are often found in converted commercial buildings, like factories, and are defined by their open-concept architectural style in which some dividing walls don’t go all the way to the ceiling. There is usually exposed brick, metal or wood beams, or ductwork.

Flex Apartment

A flex apartment allows you to add bedrooms if needed, but the terminology is a little different. A one-bedroom flex means that the apartment has one bedroom with the option to add a second. A two-bedroom flex means there are two bedrooms with the option to add a third, and so on.

Penthouse Apartment

A penthouse apartment is a dwelling unit on the highest floor of a condo or building. It is a symbol of luxury living and includes the finest material fittings and expensive flooring systems and amenities. Penthouses consist of a swimming pool, terrace, fireplace, oversized windows, Jacuzzi, and garden. Above all, it gives you a panoramic view of the city. On the opposite end of a garden apartment is a penthouse apartment, which is the top floor of a tall building. They are associated with luxury accommodations and high price of rent; some penthouses have private elevators separate from the rest of the building that open directly into the apartment. They are typically large and can offer beautiful views.

Garden Apartments

A garden apartment is a ground-floor residence in an apartment complex. It has easy access to a garden or backyard. The term can also refer to a low-rise apartment that is surrounded by gardens, trees, shrubs, and lawns. There are several other names for these such as garden grove, garden stroll, and garden park.

Condominium

A condominium (or condo) is a type of dwelling, identical to an apartment that is privately owned while the common parts of the building, such as the corridors, are held by several homeowners collectively. Condominiums, which are different from single-family homes and townhouses, which are also types of housing, are frequently found in multi-unit buildings. Condos are popular in the US, UK, and Canada regions and are often believed to be an excellent choice for first-time homeowners and those on a budget. They are frequently cheaper than single-family homes. Condos frequently have tight-knit communities and lots of opportunities for neighbourly interaction.

Townhouse /Row House

A townhouse is a type of housing that has one or more walls in common with the adjacent house. It can be two or three stories high and comes with an exclusive entrance and a private backyard as well. Townhouses are a more popular option in countries like the USA since they are typically smaller than independent homes. These days concept is getting strong impression in Pakistan especially Lahore. In India, we are more familiar with the term row house. This is ideal for those who want an independent house but don’t want the hassles of maintenance and general upkeep. People who value their privacy may prefer row houses to any other type of residence.

Waterfront Luxury Apartments

Apartments with a view of a water body, such as a lake, river, or ocean, are commonly referred to as waterfront apartments. Waterfront residences are normally far more expensive than any regular apartment. Therefore, even at the time of selling your property, you can be certain that your waterfront apartment will fetch a higher revenue than apartments farther inland. The size of the flat, the amenities offered, and the state of the building will also affect the property’s worth.

Convertible Apartment

Convertible or flex apartments are those that are spread across a large area and can be converted into different rooms with the help of a partial wall, an alcove, or a sliding door. Usually, these apartments come with one bedroom with the option to flex and create an additional bedroom using a separator.

Walk Up Apartment

It’s a unit in a building with no elevator. In other words, you have to walk up and down through the stairs.

Floor through Apartment

This is a type of apartment that covers the entire floor of a building. Typically, a floor setting where it runs from the front of the building to the back is known as a floor-through apartment.

Railroad Apartments

Railroad apartments are found in older and smaller units. They are called the railroad because of their straight floor plant. These apartments contain 3-4 rooms being connected without a hallway, creating a thin and long rectangle. Bedrooms are placed in the center or on the side. Railroad apartments are mostly used communal living as one has to share the facilities like kitchen and bathroom with others
